Eliza and her noodle

Eliza Kate is six and very determined to be noticed,... to get her fair share, ...to be counted,...to keep her noodle.
I was watching 5 kids at the pond on my own today, planning on painting at least one of them, and had a momentary freak out when I realised I forgot my brushes-Fortunately my hair was held in a bun with a single brush that enabled me to accomplish my daily painting goal and make this quick paint sketch. It's acrylic on paper, 8 x 8 inches. Five kids, an abstract minded aunt, and One brush!

  1. I am amazed you used ONE brush! A true testament to your talent. There are broad strokes above her head & thin dry ones in the water, the noodle is a smooth solid form. You use the unpainted areas to convey so much light...the bright sun of the pond!
