I tried painting Manu from life, but she is so self conscious that it makes me second guess my lines. This is the third attempt- the most successful, and done completely from memory. I think i got her! The flowers both symbolize her new passion/job as flower shop girl ,as well as mark the time of year.
You capture her regal jaw line, her princess eyes, and her perfect lips! Ask her to share her graduation photos with you.
ReplyDeleteso...where are the first and second attempts? I'd love to see them!!! I think this is beautiful...it makes me feel special--- I've never been painted before--- I love you so much! (but I hope you know that I totally dig the first attempt and I know that the 2nd couldn't have been as bad as you think it is...)
