It feels really great to run my fingers through it. The pages don't actually lay down very well... a flaw in technique I am sure. But the pages/ blankets look like and expanding wing. In fact I drove around with it today in my car- don't ask me why- the bed made it to rest on the dash board and what fun!?! it felt like I was flying.
