SOLD- collection of Dave StanfordChasing the full moon this weekend. We all KNOW the rooster has been tied to the pulling of the sun and moon across our skies.I can hardly sleep. The strange sounds coming from the woods keep humanity on edge.
Here is a re-working I did yesterday of an older oil painting- It measures 4 x 4 x 2 inches and it's very wet... so impossible to photograph without glare.
There is a story in the mythology of the origin of the Gallus Domesticus, of an all white rooster that was worshipped in the Pacific islands. If it wasn't treated right, it would be the bearer of doom. I am praying for those suffering from the hurricanes.
