Babies are joy

Woke up the other morning to an email and image from a young adventurous friend, Connie, who has traveled halfway across the world on a shoestring to work in a maternity clinic. She sent us a shot of her with her "first baby", and the joy in her eyes was palpable! I am so proud of her and the image has been stuck in my head ever since. So I tried to paint it. Babies are definitely a pathway to joy.
I am traveling today to visit my own two. Their births, 21 and 17 years ago, really opened me up to the miraculous beauty of Life and the immensity of Love. I should also add, that through them I met Connie!
