closing the 2014 summer sketchbook

I finished another summer book full of drawings. It feels really good.

This is the 3rd one since I moved to Miami. I wish I could keep as good a sketchbook all year round, but the fact is, they turn into lists and miscellany when so open ended. In the summer I will take the time and have the discipline to capture things! I find a book being thrown away at the end of school and re-purpose it. This one was called Does God Make a Difference, about religious education in schools. Some good thoughts bleed through the images....

Now... I lay it closed on the shelf. It's a place for memories and dreams...

Summer is officially over.
