chick and chaise
mixed media, collage, acrylic, and oil paint on wood, 6 x 12 inches
I am painting again! There are 15 chicks in my studio making a lot of wracket and yet when I approach them they slow down and pose. So for the last few days I have been studying them, doodling, and grabbing scraps to paint on. This is in oil because at the same time I am working on an ice cream sundae every Sunday in oil and though I am not the most confident with the media, I felt like branching out.
I am so happy to be painting again that I feel like shouting out-"Fresh chicks! Fresh chicks! Hot and oily, just off the easel!" The work is not for sale right now because I need to gather paintings for some upcoming shows...If you are really distraught and interested in purchasing one of these- let me know and I can reserve you the first option, when the place and price are set.
