Courage: Heart in hand
Courage, also known as bravery, will, intrepidity, and fortitude, is the ability to confront fear, pain, risk/danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. Courage c.1300, from O.Fr. corage, from V.L. *coraticum, from L. cor "heart," which remains a common metaphor for inner strength.
This is a painting I started in Florida, the first morning of my arrival last week, while watching my husband and my son participate in an extreme swimming lesson.
It's about 7 x 12 inches (must double check)- all orange acrylic paint.
